Our Story

I started Melavo because of a frustrating gap. When you go looking for genuinely organic baby muslin, the word "organic" is everywhere — and proof is almost nowhere.

Plenty of soft promises. Very little transparency about where the cotton came from, who made the cloth, or who the certificate actually belongs to. For something that spends all day against a baby's skin, that didn't feel like enough.

So I built the brand I couldn't find.

Melavo was founded on a simple belief: proof matters more than promises.

To do that, I travelled to India and visited the mill that would make every Melavo muslin. I wanted to know exactly who was making our products before asking parents to trust them.

Every Melavo muslin is made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, creating a clear, verifiable chain of trust from fibre to finished product.

We're starting with muslin because it's one of the hardest-working essentials in family life. The ambition is wider — thoughtful, natural everyday essentials, made to be used and lived with for years. But the standard behind them won't change as we grow.
