Our Cotton

Two layers, woven as one.

Why double-weave organic cotton behaves differently — on day one, and at wash one hundred.

The cotton

Grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, certified organic under GOTS from field to finished fabric. Organic matters most in cloth that lives against skin: what isn't sprayed on the crop can't linger in the weave.

The weave

Ordinary muslin is a single, loosely woven layer — light, but quick to thin and fray. Ours is a double weave: two fine layers of yarn woven together into one cloth, softer in the hand and more absorbent than a single layer.

The softening

New muslin arrives soft and finishes better. Washing relaxes the cotton fibres, so the cloth you have after six months is gentler than the one that came out of the box. We consider that the honest direction for a baby product to age.

The testing

Made with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Product Class I certified materials, the strictest of the standard's four product classes, reserved for items intended for babies and small children.
